Two Scoops Web

Terms

What these terms cover

The Two Scoops Web terms are the rules for every build and the Care plan, in plain words. The contract the client signs governs.

Most of this is on other pages already. This page puts it in one place. If this page and your contract ever disagree, the contract wins.

You can't buy anything on this site. A build starts with a video call that scopes it. The three builds have published prices, and Custom is quoted from a build plan. If you go ahead, you sign a contract and we send an invoice.

How this site handles what you send through the form is on privacy.

Prices and payment

Every Two Scoops Web build is one fixed price, paid in two halves: half to start, which holds the build's slot, and the balance before the site goes live.

Custom is for sites that need more than 24 pages, sites in English and French, or setups the three builds don't cover. Scoping it and writing the build plan are free. Then we give you a fixed quote, paid in the same two halves.

The prices are on the packages. Prices are in US dollars. Hawaii general excise tax is included in every price we charge, and there's no Canadian sales tax on the invoice. Hosting is billed separately. You pay it to the hosting company, at its price. Your web address and business email aren't part of the build.

The content call is the recorded video call where we get your words. If you cancel before it, the deposit is refunded in full. If you cancel after it, the deposit isn't refunded. On Coverage, the cutoff is the first of its two calls.

You can switch packages until the content call. Switching up costs the difference. Switching down, your deposit carries over, and anything you've paid above the new package's full price is refunded.

Your content and your facts

The fixed price of a Two Scoops Web build includes writing up your words. You bring the photos.

The words come from the content call, written up as a draft you approve. Coverage gets two calls, one about the business and one about its services and areas. A short form takes the hard facts, like hours and prices. An export from your current site counts too, where your platform offers one. Research and writing beyond what you tell us is content writing, quoted before you sign.

Photos never hold up the build. The site launches with what you have, and the rest go in later, under Care or as a small quoted change.

You confirm that the facts you give us are true. That includes any certification or award the site lists.

Pages, revisions and the timeline

Two Scoops Web builds come in a set number of pages, with two revision rounds included. The build time counts from the client's approval of the written draft.

Discovery has 6 pages, Publisher 12 and Coverage 24, on top of home, about, contact, terms and privacy. A site that needs more than 24 pages is built as Custom. After launch, Coverage still stops at 24, and more subjects go into blog posts.

A round is one list of changes, sent in one message. We make the changes, send the site back, and the round closes. Round three onward is $150 a round. Fixing something we built wrong is never a round. Neither is correcting a fact.

Discovery and Publisher take two to three weeks, Coverage four to five, both rounds included. On Custom, the timeline is in the build plan. The time you take to send each list isn't counted.

Accounts and access

We go over how the accounts behind your Two Scoops Web site are set up with you on a call.

We never have access to the account that holds your web address. Pointing the address at the new site is on the go-live checklist.

Our access to your code and hosting ends when the final payment clears. If you take Care, it ends when Care ends. Your site keeps running either way. If you ever decide to go it alone, we move everything to you or anyone you choose.

Care

Care is the Two Scoops Web monthly plan for sites it built: $100 a month on Discovery, $150 on Publisher and $200 on Coverage. It runs month to month, with no minimum term. On a Custom site, Care is quoted after the build plan and timeline.

Care covers hosting checks, security updates and one change request a month. The request works like a revision round: one list, in one message. A request you don't use doesn't roll over.

You can cancel any time, with no notice period. Care ends at the end of the month you've already paid for, and our access ends with it. After that, changes are quoted one at a time. On Publisher and Coverage, you can keep writing and editing blog posts yourself. The details are on Care.

What we don't do

Two Scoops Web builds new websites only. It doesn't work on sites built on other platforms, build online stores, or do ongoing work on rankings or AI visibility. It doesn't set up business email or manage web addresses.

We'll move your content off another platform, as the quoted migration add-on. Content moves. The platform doesn't.

Linking to a tool you already use is included: a checkout, a booking page, a pay button. Hooking up the software you run your business on is Custom work. Some of it can be done and some can't, and we find out which while we scope it. We don't build online stores on any build, and we can point you to someone who does.
